Ohio 108th Assembly passes tax hikes for education package
The 108th Ohio General Assembly enacted taxes on cigarettes liquor utilities and corporate franchises to fund a 2.27 billion education package. Highlights include 421.3 million for capital education projects and 35.7 million in aid to nonpublic schools. Nearly 1,300 measures were introduced with 370 approved.
