Parole Board Debates Execution of Youth in Ohio
The Ohio Pardon and Parole Commission weighs recommending clemency for 16 year old Donald Frohner who faces execution in the electric chair on August 20 after a 1947 murder. Defense argues his mind was distorted by a troubled home life while prosecutors emphasize precedent. Frohner’s parents and brother testified seeking mercy as Daniels and West, unrelated murder suspects, loom in state crime context.
