A System of Insuring a Future Supply of Timber
Tree farming marked its 25th anniversary in Montesano Washington where scientific forest management began in 1941. Clemons Tree Farm grew from 120000 to 365000 acres with a 60 year harvest cycle. About 30000 tree farms across 48 states have set aside 67000000 acres, underwritten by American Forest Products Industries. Former Gov. Arthur B Langlie attended the celebration with loggers demonstrations and tree care exhibits.
