Jackson Wyoming police report an ex-soldier, Andrew Pixley, 21, charged with first degree murder in the deaths of Debby 12 and Cindy 8 McAuliffe sisters in a Jackson hotel. The father, Circuit Court Judge Robert McAuliffe, found the girls dead and restrained the suspect until officers arrived. Susan, 6, slept through the incident.

Lorri Campbell, 9, leapt toward railroad tracks to rescue her dogs Pogo and Quanda as a switch engine moved along. She saved Pogo but was struck by the train and died at the hospital. Quanda was killed. Lorri hoped to become a veterinarian and loved all animals.
