Indicted teen linked to fatal Preble County crash near Camden

Randall L. Johnson, 18, of Middletown, faces aggravated vehicular homicide and a first degree misdemeanor vehicular homicide charges after a April 14 crash on Oxford Germantown Road killed Chase C. Knecht, 17. Knecht was the front seat passenger. Johnson’s 1999 BMW left the road, crossed fences and stopped in a field. Knecht died at the scene. a backseat passenger, Zack Lansdale, 17, was treated and released. Police say Knecht was speeding at least 80 mph before braking. Johnson was not drunk. Beer was found in the vehicle.

Bush Back in Ohio Rally Pushes Constitutional Amendment

Middletown man charged after shotgun attack on neighbor

In a quiet Middletown neighborhood on Jewell Avenue, 64 year old Ollie Haddix fired multiple shots at 57 year old Keith Hollingsworth outside his home, with two shots entering from a rear door. Hollingsworth was shot in the right arm and hospitalized. Haddix is jailed on attempted murder charges awaiting arraignment. Witnesses described the shock and fear as police investigated a motive that remains unknown.
