Dragstrip Proposal For Police Testing In Fairfield Township
Fairfield Constable Dewey Baker proposed a dragstrip on Seward Road between Port Union and Tylersville for testing police and sheriff vehicles and radar speeds. The stretch would offer eight-tenths of a mile with no residences for testing and limited daily use for enthusiasts to check their cars. The plan was referred to county engineer Jesse Pochard after Commission President Augspurger recalled a past dragstrip closure due to complaints.
