Trenton planners weigh 2115 acre tract as potential powder keg

Trenton planners called a 2 115 acre industrial tract south of the city a powder keg as consultant Carl Coppes outlined revisions to the 1970 master plan. He said the land could attract a major industry and rapid residential growth, with a possible 11 000 employee operation boosting the region. Commissioners focused on a road system linking Ohio 63 and I 75, a north south Wayne Madison road split, and a loop bypass for Ohio 73 to channel heavy traffic. A staged annexation plan and land use sketches were slated for next meetings in August and September. Also approved a drive through stall at the First National Bank branch and welcomed a zoning certificate for the Moose Lodge to move to 707 W State St.
