Waterspout Devastates Resort Killing Guest in Kill Devil Hills

A waterspout struck Kill Devil Hills North Carolina tearing through a beach community. Harriet Tillet 75 was killed as seven houses and a realty office were damaged. The Wilbur Wright Motel roof was blown off with recovery ongoing as officials estimated damage between 300000 and 500000 dollars. Police said a witness claimed children were seen in a tunnel but none were reported missing.

Senate liberals attack a natural gas price compromise

Liberal senators Abourezk and Metzenbaum denounce a House-Senate conference report on natural gas price controls.
