Saint Paul area church hosts guest minister and songfest
The Rev. Rudolph E. Gruenke, pastor emeritus, will preach at St. Paul United Church of Christ in North College Hill during 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. services after a Powastown area songfest featuring The Ovations and Victors Quartet at Peasttown First Church of God. Gruenke previously led Trinity Evangelical in Milwaukee and Carthage Evangelical in Cincinnati. his first charge was a Biloxi mission.

Retired bishop to speak at Pleasant Ridge church
The Rev Harold Rickel Heininger, retired bishop of the United Methodist Church, will speak on Wheels for the World Mission at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church 1052 Middletown Eaton Road tomorrow at 10 30 am. The public is invited to a noon family meal. Heininger led the Northwestern Area from 1955 to 1968 and has held numerous ecclesiastical posts.

Charles M Vaughn of Miami University is named president of the Ohio Academy of Science, the fifth Miami scientist to hold the post in the academy’s 86 year history.
