Ohio 63 Bridge Replacement Begins Earlier Than Planned
Monroe officials say Ohio 63 bridge over I 75 will be replaced about three years sooner than planned with construction starting later this year after emergency funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation. The interchange project will still start in 2008 while bridge work begins now. Traffic through the city on 63 will slow between Macready Avenue and Yankee Road as speed limits drop from 55 to 50 mph after a city council vote.

The Proeschels Hoffers and Welsh Development file a second lawsuit against Warren County officials challenging Regional Planning Commission decisions on two phases of Valley View Farms. The 326 acre subdivision east of I 75 near Greentree Road aims to add homes alongside Middletown Regional Hospital’s new facility and other developments.
