Death education in sixth grade class explores life’s end
In Bellingham Washington eighth grade teacher Carol Warren used death education to help four classes confront mortality. Funeral director Jon Donnellan guided a tour of a Ferndale mortuary revealing questions from curious students about caskets baby caskets embalming and hair growth after death. The field trip followed a cemetery visit where the pupils remained fascinated by babies and death.
