Hunter family foils security to catch Nixon at Easter service
Lois Dailey and her four daughters with their family dog drove from Hunter Ohio and, after misdirections and a forest of security, ended up two rows from President Nixon at Gettysburg Presbyterian Church for Easter. A ranger and guards offered directions to Gettysburg while a fisherman guarding the route hid a radio aerial. The Daileys slept at a park ranger station and were escorted toward the parade of cars carrying the President. The family’s persistence overcame gate restrictions and they witnessed the President entering Easter services.
