Westinghouse Electric Corp at Abingdon Virginia runs CMCR Continuous Melting Casting and Rolling to produce copper magnet wire. The process forms seven mile long coils weighing 25 000 pounds each and enamel insulation is applied in tall coating towers. Fumes are incinerated by after burners as an ecological bow.
