Yes Vote Urged For Issue 3 On Ohio Ballot
The Ohio Home Rule Committee urged a yes vote on Issue No. 3 for the May 4 primary to approve a new apportionment plan. Chairman Earle McMunn warned a no vote would leave the state without a plan and at the mercy of federal courts to impose any method. The measure would amend the constitution to let an apportionment board redraw House districts to conform with the Supreme Court’s one man one vote ruling.
