In Hollywood a gunpowder mishap during the Tombstone Territory film sequence at Bronson Quarry burned lead Edwin Nelson 30 in face hands and chest. Co star Fred Essler 65 was also burned while attempting to restrain him and was released after treatment. Nelson remained hospitalized.
