Retirement on Rails: Arend Builds a Home from a Pullman Coach
George Arend, still active at 82, rebuilt a retired Pullman coach into a four room Franklin home on a hilltop. He left the railroads after a 57 year career that began in 1900 on the Northern lines, recalls snowblock winters and a Denver and Rio Grande last run. He creates authentic train models for display in museums and friends, planning to live to 100.

Raymond led Juvenile Grange and now heads Pomona Grange. Their mother a 46 year Grange member and Monroe High School graduate reflects on family service.
