President Nixon plans a fall tour of major NATO nations focusing on trade military aid and troop levels. He told reporters Sunday he is preparing for the autumn visit and Deputy Press Secretary Gerald L. Warren provided further details.

Eight year old Steven Ferguson of Chesapeake Ohio died at a Huntington hospital after contracting a rare brain disease. He succumbed to viral encephalitis also called sleeping sickness, Sunday.
Forecasters predict showers and possible thunderstorms across southwestern Ohio tonight, then a cool down with lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s tomorrow. By Wednesday expect fair, warm conditions, with more showers Thursday and Friday. Middletown highs yesterday reached 72 with a 58 degree low this morning.

House leaders aim for a Wednesday floor vote before a 10day Easter recess amid proposed amendments from Republicans and a few dissident Democrats.
An autopsy failed to determine the cause of death for Margaret Park, a 43 year old blind woman from Toledo. State Police said foul play was involved in her death, and her decomposed body was found near Ida, Michigan, last Saturday. A farmer had spotted the body about 10 days earlier, mistaking it for canvas.
President Nixon asked Congress to authorize sale of 4.1 billion dollars of strategic stockpile items no longer needed for security but needed to curb inflation. He cited price surges above 30 percent in metals and related goods and urged disposals to stabilize the metals market and lower consumer costs. The stockpile, built after World War II, covers 91 commodities from metals to diamonds and iodine.
