Too Many Chiefs and Not Enough Indians Demote Lemon Officer

Lemon Township Police Sergeant James Bussell lost his rank during a trustees meeting. Trustees said the move aims to restore proper rank structure, not to punish him, noting the department once had four officers and seven patrolmen. The fleet will drop to four patrol cars, with one converted to an unmarked cruiser to curb vandalism. Sanitation issues were discussed as inspectors flagged health hazards on more than 20 lots including junked cars and excessive refuse.
