Steelworkers approve three year contract with wage rise
Officials of the United Steelworkers Union approved a three year contract that includes an 80 cent an hour wage increase over the life of the agreement. The pact raises median pay to 5.50 an hour and average wage with overtime to 8.08. The package adds fringe benefits pensions and job security while signaling higher steel prices.
