Butler hikes tap-in fee for out-of-county water units justified
Butler County officials defended a plan to charge more than 16 thousand dollars in one-time tap-in fees to future out-of-county water and sewer customers. A cost study by Integrated Utilities Group cited six defensible reasons tied to system capacity and future upkeep. The May 1 increase to 6200 dollars, plus a 6375 dollar rise next year, and an extra 10000 dollar outside-customer fee aim to curb growth from Warren County while contracts with other areas remain in place.
