Martin Thomas of Have Most Accidents the Butler County Automobile Club cites 1947 State Highway Department data showing drivers with five or more years of experience caused the majority of fatal nonfatal and property damage crashes on state highways. The leading violations were speeding for conditions and wrong side of road driving.
