Tornado damage prompts Central State University to plan classes at Dayton Miami Valley Consortium campuses. Students may relocate to nearby colleges. some nonresidents offered hotel rooms. Gov. Gilligan urges graduation as scheduled.
Kent State University President Glenn A. Olds offered Kent State facilities to Central State University after a heavy tornado strike. Olds telegrammed Central State President Lionel Newsman promising dormitory space and coordinated programs so students would miss no school.
Senate House panels leave tax issue to impeachment process. Joint Taxation Committee says Nixon owes 476,431 in back taxes and interest, IRS agrees, Nixon to pay about 465,000. Mills states he would avoid ruling on fraud, focusing on facts. California official predicts Nixon may owe state taxes on San Clemente estate sale. Deputy White House aide notes the financial impact.
Clear skies and colder temperatures are forecast for Middletown tonight with frost possible. Lows in the upper 20s. Saturday sunny with highs in the low 40s. Sunday fair with a chance of showers Monday and Tuesday, highs in the 50s and lows in the 40s.

Chicago AP reports the National Safety Council links a sharp drop in highway deaths to lower speeds. January and February fatalities fell to 5 680 from 7 560 in 1973, with a projected 14 000 fewer deaths if trends continue, possibly setting a decade low around 43 000 for 1974.
