Legislature May Get State Budget Tonight
Columbus AP reports Gov. Lausche will present the biennial budget to the legislature tonight or not later than Tuesday. The plan requests about 575 million dollars for two years, with capital improvements funded later from treasury surplus. House and Senate moves focus on new tax levy measures and school levies, potentially shifting away from a 65 percent voting threshold for local special levies.
