The tannery owned by Hiram Kaykendall burned this morning around one o clock at Summitville. Charles Kim had occupied it until his lease expired and had removed his stock. About 80 cords of bark owned by Korn and Kukendall were lost. The fire’s origin is unknown. K and K were insured for 2500 dollars.
