Fatal Accidents Reported In Rural and City Roads

A tramp from Ireland named John Malloy was killed after being run over by an Erie railroad freight train near Bonnell's crossing. Inquests ruled the death as accidental while intoxicated. Earlier, Judge George's carriage failed at Idlewild causing a crash that left him unhurt but led to a fatal injury to William Parker, a Blooming Grove resident, whose face was mangled and who died. Parker's horse was shot afterward. The runaway horses then narrowly avoided Dr. Edward E. Lee and his children by steering into a fence.
