Public notice from Middletown Orange County appearing in the weekly issue directs readers to the office in Gothic Hall on the first floor and specifies Tuesday Thursday and Saturday afternoon at five o'clock for publishing.
Mr A B Deming is named general agent for the Middletown Evening Press in Middletown. He will manage village delivery and collections every two weeks. Single copies may be bought at Deming's Morgan and Stoat's and Vail's Bookstore for cents.
A rural hymn extols the farmer as lord of the soil who rises at dawn to toil with scythe axe and plow. It celebrates harvests homes and family life, the virtue of industry and the joys of country living, linking farming to health cheer and blessed plenty.
