Slain Man's Widow Identifies Slayer
In Chicago on June 19 Mrs. Francis Thompson 32 alias Fred G Thompson was named as the girl bandit with a smile and blue eyes who shot Richard C Tesmer an insurance adjuster during a robbery at his gold coast home. Mrs Tesmer the widow who witnessed the slaying made the identification confirmed by Chief Detective Michael Hughes. The raid on a north side apartment yielded Mrs Thompson described as abnormal sometimes posing as a man and sometimes as a woman she protested she was not wanted for the Tesmer murder saying her hair is black while the suspect is a blonde. The raid was led by Sergeant William Cusack.

Missing War Veteran Stirred by Foul Play Fears
Elbert Morehouse a 24 year old resident of 111 Monhagen avenue vanished Friday morning after leaving with his dinner pail for work. His family suspects foul play as he did not report for duty at the Postal Telegraph Company and was described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, wearing a dark blue suit with a white pencil stripe. Dunlap Post 692 and Veterans of Foreign Wars are assisting in the search and his shell shock and gas exposure in World War I are noted. His wife mother and child still await news at the Monhagen avenue address. JOAN Hollenback dies at his Wilkes-Barre home from pneumonia in his 97th year.
