Reports say Cuban forces and leaders are divided over participating in a ceremony linked to Brooke and Gomez near Guanahara s. Some advocate restraint while others warn of future trouble, with Americans similarly torn. The Bay State hospital ship arrived in Kingston with a disease study commission to examine British military medical methods.
In New York Mrs Kate D Adams died after taking a mysterious vial labeled Bromo Seltzer that arrived from Tiffany Co. Caroline EK Dennis, president of Auburn City Hospital, died yesterday at the Auburn hospital after a lengthy tenure as leader of the institution. She served on national and state boards of lady managers for the Columbian Exposition in Chicago, 1893, and was a member of the New York State Federation of Women's Clubs executive committee. Her long career included extensive charitable work.
