Boston December 4 A threatened strike by West End railroad motormen and workers was postponed for a week after a meeting between union officials and West End directors led by President Little. He said only the executive committee could ratify any agreement and that a majority was not present in the state to decide.
Ex queen Liliuokalani traveled as a regular passenger on the Sunset Limited from San Francisco to Washington. She rejected a Houston interview, stating she is a deposed monarch in retirement and unable to discuss her country’s future.
