The Newert gun boat with Nicaragua canal surveyors left New York for Nicaragua and sailed yesterday for Greytown after a fire from spontaneous combustion damaged a stockyard in Worcester Massachusetts. A Calumet and Heel Wielon company stockhorse event at Vabrilee caused a $5,010 loss by spontaneous combustion and was insured.
Mrs Nancy Allison McKinley Wied dies after long illness with family at bedside. Funeral services set for First Methodist Episcopal church Canton with pallbearers named and burial at West Lawn Cemetery. President McKinley travels to Washington for national tribute.
