Denial of Building Permits Triggers Suit in Florida Town
Mr and Mrs Oscar Magnuson sue the Village of Biscayne Park in circuit court to force issue of alteration permits for remodeling nine duplexes in the Negro section. They contend the building inspector denied permits citing a 20000 cubic foot rule for new construction. The suit says the 15 year old structures on a 5.5 acre tract beside the Florida East Coast railroad near NE 119th Street are to be remodeled only and not rebuilt.

Slum Clearance Committee Seeks Interested Miami Residents

Quintuplets Born, All Die in Williamston Hospital
Viola Rogis Brown, 21, who bore quadruplets at 17, gave birth to quintuplets in Williamston New York on Wednesday but all died within minutes. Three boys and two girls weighed between one and a half pounds and none survived beyond a few minutes, doctors reported.

Louis May Fight To Cancel Tax
Retired heavyweight champion Joe Louis may return to boxing to fight Ezzard Charles in September. If negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service clear his tax problems, Louis could settle the government claim by agreeing that his purse for the Charles bout be paid in full.
