Two Air Force Trainee Pilots Die In Georgia Crash

In Seainsboro Georgia near here an air force AT-6 trainer plane crashed into a mud flat killing two fliers from Ft Bragg North Carolina. The victims a sergeant and a corporal were thrown from the wreckage and believed killed instantly. Names held pending next of kin notification.

Former Miami Times Newsboy Among Missing in Korea

Second lieutenant Edmund McCullough and Sgt Ronald C Wood are reported missing in action in Korea. James L Marshall, also from Miami, is listed wounded. McCullough, 23, son of Mr and Mrs Lee McCullough of 424 NW 17th St, Booker T Washington High School 1946, Hampton Institute 1950 ROTC. Wood, 28, former Newsboy and BTW graduate, re enlisted after 1947. His sister Frances Wood, 1528 NW 6th Pl, is listed as nearest relative. Marshall enlisted February last year, went to Korea in December and was wounded then. He is son of Mrs Amendia Allen of 137 NW 15th St.

New York Odess a Calloway, 28 year old amateur golfer, filed a civil suit this week seeking $100,000 against boxer Joe Louis. She alleges permanent injuries from an unprovoked attack at a Cleveland hotel last July 4.

At Columbia South Carolina the Catholic Committee of the South urged ending segregation within the Catholic Church saying it humiliates and discourages and impedes unity.
