A 500 unit public housing project faces zoning approval with a Monday hearing by the county zoning board for a 38 acre area bounded by NW 67th to 71st streets and 35th to 37th avenues. Total project cost exceeds 4 million including land, construction and utilities.
The National Production Authority warns against starting or remodeling pools cabanas and other recreational facilities in Greater Miami if costs exceed 5000 in 12 months. Marion A. Leonard of the U S Commerce Department notes orders aim to conserve materials for essential construction and defense needs. He says relief is available and the office will assist in determining eligibility and applying for it.

Promoter Willie Slater announced a boxing show opening January 23 at Dorsey Park headlined by Doc Williams and Chubbie Wright in a 10 round main event. Williams, 190 lbs, is a heavyweight prospect. Wright, 185 lbs, has an impressive record. Ringside seats at 3.00, general admission 1.50, and 2.00 for reserved. Preliminary training takes place at Longshoremen Hall. RAIFORD Three men were executed in the electric chair at the state prison on Monday for a May 4 murder during a robbery attempt. Walter McDonald 22 L D Robinson 46 Geo Wolfork Jr. died in that order. No visitors or family claimed the bodies, all three were buried on Tuesday. McDonald and Wolfork reportedly confessed killings in Augusta and Columbus, Ga. prior to the Starke murder.
Edna Mae Bellamy received a year in prison for the fatal stabbing of Richard Robinson last August in Jacksonville. The case drew local attention as prosecutors argued for a harsher penalty while defense contended for leniency amid the victim’s family present at sentencing.
Roney Cody John Henry Nelson and Bernice Johnson were convicted on seven counts of check forgery and sentenced to four years in prison. The trio faced criminal charges in a br Fr court after their forging scheme surfaced.

A fire on Wednesday destroyed half of a duplex at 1454 NW Second Ave injuring Mrs Mytis Seymour as an electrical circuit sparked the blaze. On Thursday a porch fire at 1534-A NW First Ave swept the frame bungalow owned by Mr and Mrs John W Royal and Mr and Mrs Willie Brown, leaving two families homeless.
New York The Neil Memorial Plaque was presented to Sugar Ray Robinson Tuesday at the New York press association dinner. The heavyweight champion was honored as the man who did the most for the sport last year. Joe Louis presented the award before about 300 guests at the Waldorf Astoria.
