Woman Confesses Husband's Murder in Argument
Mrs Mamie Lee Johnson of 204 NW 14th Terrace confessed to detectives that she shot and killed her husband Jesse Jack during a heated argument. She said she fired an 88 calibre revolver as he attempted to take her back to Atlanta Georgia and exclaimed I would rather die than go back to Atlanta.

Laundry Workers Give Blood Drive Marks Union Effort
Thirty eight members of Local 222 Laundry Workers International Union donated blood to the Dade County Blood Bank on Thursday. Local organizer James Nimmo reported strong results from the initial drive and plans for additional wholesale donations. Blood collected will be stored at the local bank for use by union members their families and friends.
