Miami Mayor Robert L. Floyd invites representatives from 23 organizations to assist in planning improvements for the city. Attempt To Take Army Payroll At Fort Bragg
Four Negro soldiers attempted to rob an army payroll of 51,000 at Fort Bragg North Carolina. Pfc. Robert P. Harris Pvts. Artie Curtis and Samuel Richardson and another unnamed soldier were arrested and held in the stockade awaiting a general court martial. A tip to the provost marshal's department led to the incident on a heavily used road.

UN Assembly Debates Human Rights Bill After 29-0 Vote

New Site Chosen for F E C Railway Station in Miami
At Wednesday's City Commission meeting a new site for the FEC Railway station was approved 3-2. The Miami ave and 20th st location, favored by Commissioner William W. Charles, edges out the Greater Miami Traffic association proposal north of Mhock. Final steps include a hearing before the Florida Railroad and Public Utilities Commission and federal court consent. Charles noted 20th street widening poses little issue as most land is unimproved.
