Seek Injunction Against Carver Village Suit

NAACP Officer to Speak Here in Miami December 13

Driver Held For Manslaughter

Alfred Waldon aged 51 of 3002 NW 51st Street was bound over for trial on manslaughter charges after a traffic death on November 16. Deputy testified a chrunkometer reading of .190 followed Waldon running a stop sign into Ballard E. Fink’s truck.

Girl Struck By Jitney In Liberty City

Six year old Deanna Richardson daughter of Mrs Johnnie Mae Richardson of 1445 NW 4th Ave was knocked down and seriously injured by a Liberty City jitney driven by Morris Keaton of 1315 NW 6th Ave on Tuesday at 2 40 PM at 3rd Ave and 11th St She was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where her condition Thursday was reported critical Keaton was arrested and charged with reckless driving in connection with the accident.

Classic Parade Routes Announced in Miami

The Orange Blossom Classic parade will start at 11 a.m. Saturday December 1 and follow two routes. The first route forms at NW 13th St and 3rd Court and proceeds east along 13th Street to 3rd Ave then south to 11th Street and east to 2nd Ave and south to 6th Street before returning to 3rd Ave. The second route forms at NW Ist Ave near Flagler and first streets, moves south to Flagler, west along SE Ist to NW Ist and the railroad tracks, then disbands. downtown Miami segment to depart at 12 30 p.m. See spectator page four.

SIAC Coaches Meet in Miami Set for December

The Southern I Intercollegiate Athletic Conference holds its annual meeting in Miami December 3 and 4 with coaches from all SIAC colleges and the University of Miami. County Commissioner Jesse Yarborough will speak at a public session Monday at 10 a.m. The conference championship teams will be named during the gathering.

Boxer-Hangup Ends In Murder Warrant In Perrine

James Russ told deputies that 32 year old Jimmy Haggis faced Perrine boxer Toamie L. Jackson after a sparring match. Jackson claimed the better of his partner and then fired twice at Haggis hitting him near the heart. Haggis, a Nassau farm laborer, died. Jackson holds a first degree murder warrant.

German Educator Sees Better Negro Schools in U S Than Europe

Dr. Lorenz Nicolaysen of Hamburg says in Columbus that some U S Negro schools are better equipped than White schools in Europe. His remark was delivered Thursday. He referenced contrasting educational resources between continents and noted conditions observed during his visit.
