Resident Deaths Mark Tragic Miami Church Service
A double tragedy followed by a fatal shooting. A cortege at Ebenezer Methodist Church for three killed in a domestic dispute filled the church to capacity as relatives and mourners gathered. The killer, Roberts, was captured after a four day statewide hunt. He confessed remorse for his wife’s death but not for the in laws. In a separate incident, James Ford was killed by Oscar Burke after Ford claimed winnings from a Cuban lottery number. Burke, arrested on scene, claimed self defense as Ford’s death ended a dispute over a prize. Ford leaves a widow and two children, with funeral plans pending.
