The Missouri Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs held their annual fun weekend at Rock Lane Lodge on Table Rock Lake. Kimberly City chartered a new BPW Club with 31 members, with Mexico chapter attendees listed. District conference plans and October meetings are noted, along with Welcome Wagon Newcomers hostesses and a Pall Fashions for 77 program. XNCs met at Hardee's West with 30 members and a new member, plus upcoming Sponsor's Night and Halloween plans. A baby shower honors Laura Pitts and Mahatma Gandhi program noted for Xi Epsilon Alpha chapter.

Mr and Mrs Arthur Scott Jr Route 4 were honored for their silver wedding anniversary with a reception at the Mexico United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The open house, hosted by their children Stacie and Steven Scott, drew members of the original wedding party and numerous relatives from distances.
Living In Ledgers and Mr and Mrs Leonard Schwab have returned from a month long journey through the northwestern states, Banff and Jasper in Canada, visiting many sites including Glacier National Park and Yellowstone. Also noted are visits with relatives in Tyler Missouri Mexico and Arnold Maryland, with travel through 17 states and four Canadian provinces.

A Missouri Hair Fashion Association representative will visit Linda's Beauty Salon on Oct 9 to present fall and winter hairstyles and a National Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association rep will attend Oct 18 to discuss new hairstyles. Attending were Mabel Clark Miss Sharon Johnson from Montgomery City and Mrs Dorothy Meeks.
