May Sue To Stop City Liquor Vote
LeRoy Werner chairman of Citizens Opposed to Liquor by the Drink says the September 21 liquor by the drink election is invalid due to only 25 days notice in Mexico. He, attorney Rolin Boulware, and church members plan to sue or seek an injunction after city counsel meeting, citing legal precedents requiring 28 days notice and noting Chillicothe’s 23 days as insufficient. The group warns an injunction will halt the election if action isn’t taken.
