Miss Kay Galloway and Jerry W. Cragen married at 7:30 p.m. on September 2 in Vandalia. Rev. Noel Edwards officiated as cathedral candles and floral arrays lit the aisle. The couple, parents, attendants, and a reception in the church social room completed the ceremony.

Mr Neill named Maharaja by retiring ruler Dr Harold Lankford at the Audrain Medical Center Auxiliary Red Stocking Follies in Presser Hall before a full house. Neill, Audrain County assessor, is sponsored by the Mexico Lions Club, married with two children Janet and Mike. Votes for the coronation came from five cent donations placed in business containers around town. Dr Leonard Davis hosted as master of ceremonies.
