Tomcat recovery ends costly two month Navy mission
The F14 Tomcat wreckage from a North Atlantic crash has been raised by the West German salvage ship Taurus after a two month effort costing the US Navy 1.7 million dollars. The jet fighter was stripped of landing gear and right wing and was described as scraped and rusty. Recovery crews moved the salvage to Rosyth Scotland for preparation for shipment to the United States.

Mexico native Mrs. Dorothy Moss of Albion Michigan has been named Teacher of the Year by the local high school where she teaches English. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Ocie Carter of Trinity Street. Moss graduated Garfield school in 1960 and studied at Fort Valley State College Georgia. She taught two years in Georgia before moving to Michigan thirteen years ago.
