Vandalia Couple Observes 25th Silver Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. William G. Nolan of Vandalia celebrated their silver wedding anniversary with a surprise reception October 31 at the Vandalia community building from 2 to 5 p.m. Hosted by their children and families, the event featured a lace and yellow cloth table, a three tier cake with doves, and white chrysanthemums. The Nolans wed August 12 1951 at Curryville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Walter Mitchell officiating.

Garden Club Plans State Convention in Missouri
A planning meeting for the Garden Clubs of Missouri state convention was held in Columbia at the Flaming Pit with 47 attendees.
