Adams to Eldon after long Centralia pastorate
The Rev. Thomas Adams, longtime pastor of two Centralia area Methodist churches, will leave June 3 for new assignments at Eldon and Iberia. He has led Centralia since 1966, oversaw the new church building at East and Tarr Streets, and previously served Wellsville. He is to be replaced by Rev. David Richardson of Zion United Methodist in St. Louis. Adams and his wife will move with their four sons to Eldon.

Mrs Ione Ransdell led a meeting to form a volunteer committee to obtain the Older Adults Transportation System service in Monroe County. Rev J D Stewart was elected chair and Rev Roy Kinder co chair, with members to be selected from each community. Floyd Fry represented the council on the regional AM counties effort.
