Wellsville Explorers Clinch Council Olympics Title
The Wellsville Explorer Post won the Great Rivers Council Explorers Council Olympics in Jefferson City, earning the top team score across 13 posts. Members earned multiple medals in events like shot put, rifle shooting, half mile, long jump, softball throw, and chess, qualifying to represent Missouri at the National Olympics in Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, June 27 to July. The post also won the girls volleyball championship and plans fundraisers for the trip, including candle sales and a car wash. Laddonia Jaycee Wives sponsor a dance after their officer installation at the American Legion Building on Saturday March 27. Installation at 7:00 p.m. includes a social hour, dance from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Music by The Variations. Public invited. Quilt tickets on sale. Mission Bible Study met at Laddonia Presbyterian Church for three Wednesdays with leader Bob Guthrie from Auxvasse.

Centralia School Carnival Weekend Event at High School
Centralia hosts a Saturday school carnival at the high school starting 5 pm with a Star Spangled Spectacular theme. A chili supper, gymnastic show by Coach Inlow, and a variety show highlight the evening, with king and queen and prince and princess coronations among students. Admission 50 cents for most events, children free. snacks, booths, and a treasure island donation drive run throughout the night.
