Spencer's Trial Set For April 1
Donald D. Spencer former manager and vice president of the Mexico Branch of the Production Credit Assn faces trial April 1 after a grand jury indicted him on six counts of embezzlement and one count of making a false loan statement. Indictments allege PCA funds were lent to farmers who returned the money to Spencer. some loans were repaid while funds disappeared. Assistant US Attorney Barry Short presented the case. Judge Kenneth Wangelin presided. Spencer is represented by G Andy Runge. Counts detail loans from 1968 to 1972 to six individuals and a false loan statement filed with the Federal Land Bank.
