State Audit Faults Barber Examiners
The Missouri Auditor's office criticized the Board of Barber Examiners for paying $21,400 for 856 days with no on file reports. Inspectors were paid $25 per day regardless of inspections, and monthly fixed payments were used. The report urges monthly work reports, payment only for days worked, and broader audit follow up by the attorney general.
