School Milk Program To Be Continued For 1971 72
The Nixon administration announced the continuation of the popular School Milk Program if Congress allocates $104 million for the 1971-72 school year. Agriculture Secretary Clifford M. Hardin said the department will operate the program as in the past, despite earlier attempts to discontinue it. The current year ends June 30 with an estimate of 2.9 billion half pints distributed.
