St Charles Missouri AP Judith Gittemeier a Republican committeewoman from Wentzville was found not guilty of bribery charges in St Charles County Court after a nine hour jury deliberation. The trial centered on an alleged attempt to bribe Judge J C Oliver related to a 1973 rezoning vote. A witness testified Gittemeier discussed visiting the judge to learn if his vote would change. Tim Flach of the St Louis Globe Democrat testified Gittemeier said she might have a story for him the next day. Flach said no specific money amount was mentioned during the call.
