Bruce Circle of the United Methodist Women held a Tuesday night meeting led by Mrs. J C Montgomery with 18 members present. The group discussed ideas for the Christmas bazaar and a group project, and heard a program on aging by Mrs. Art Dever. Mrs. L Buford Thomas hosted, with Miss Nancy Ollis as guest. The next UMW meeting is June 27 at 1 30 p m at the church. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Rod Nebel.

Junior Girl Scout Troop 275 completed a two night campout at Lake San Lynn near Centralia. A Court of Awards on June 3 honored perfect attendance recipients Sharon Jenkins Pam Smith Darla Gish and Teresa Wilson and thanked volunteers including Mrs Denny Whisler and Almeda Whisler. Teresa Wilson earned all Junior Badges. Numerous scouts received badges across many activities. program ended with flag ceremony and refreshments.
