Co-ops Back Bill For PSC Authority
Missouri Rural Electric Cooperatives back a bill placing their distribution under the Public Service Commission to define exclusive service areas and prevent territorial overlap with private utilities. The measure would grant REC perpetual existence, curb line duplication, and study amendments before action. Representatives from MFA NFO Farm Bureau and REC voiced support while a private utility advocate urged a simpler PSC scope.
